ASA Grower Education Programs


Commodity Classic is the annual convention and trade show of the American Soybean Association (ASA), the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), and the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG). Commodity Classic features valuable educational sessions, cutting-edge technological demonstrations, association banquets, entertainment events and important networking opportunities. LEARN MORE.

Conservation Legacy Awards is a program for growers dedicated to farming and conservation. It recognizes the outstanding environmental and conservation achievements of U.S. soybean farmers who rise to this calling and distinguish themselves by taking care of the environment while still reaping economic returns from their farms. Winners are awarded an expense-paid trip to Commodity Classic. LEARN MORE.

Legislative Forum is a program designed for growers who would not normally be able to see the policy process at work. Growers go on Hill visits with their state delegations and participate in a full day of presentations by key policy makers in Washington D.C. Growers benefit from talking to their congressional representatives about key issues affecting soybean growers and network with other farmer leaders. LEARN MORE. Regional Exchange and Awareness Program (REAP) builds relationships among diverse soybean growers by allowing them to see firsthand the issues and strengths of different growing areas in the United States. It also helps U.S. soybean producers to build the relationships necessary to maintain a strong and proactive voice on behalf of farm-related legislative priorities in Washington, D.C. Rust Information Center provides ASA members with an online resource that provides information about detecting and managing Asian Soybean Rust. LEARN MORE.

SOY Field Trials The Secure Optimal Yield (SOY) Field Trials program is designed to provide soybean growers with opportunities to demonstrate enhanced weed and disease management techniques on their farm. LEARN MORE.

SOY Scholarship The Secure Optimal Yield (SOY) Scholarship program provides a one-time $5,000 award to an eligible High School senior who plans to declare agriculture as a degree area of study at the University of their choice. LEARN MORE.

Soybean Rust Advisory Program (SoyRAP) is designed to be the foremost web site for advice about the prevention and treatment of soybean rust. It utilizes a nationwide network of Crop Consultants who monitor the progression of confirmed soybean rust outbreaks in the U.S., and provides growers with fungicide application recommendations based on regional analysis. Growers can signup for voicemail alerts during the growing season. LEARN MORE.

Weed Resistance Management is a series of four interactive online training modules that provide soybean growers with information under the following topics: Weed Resistance, Weed Resistance Management and the Environment, Agronomic Factors, Weed Resistance Management and the Grower. LEARN MORE.
